New school supplies, new friends, new uniforms, new books, new materials, new lockers, new teachers&#8230;.so many new things to experience! Some students thrive on the excitement of so many new experiences and are eager to jump in feet first.  While many enjoy the thrill of new experiences, some students may experience anxiety over the overwhelming barrage of newness. Moving to a new school adds a whole different level of new.  What can you do to help ease this transition?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Schedule a Shadow Day<\/strong> &#8211; We would love to have your child spend the day with us to get acquainted with the routine and meet some of their classmates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Come Well-Rested<\/strong> &#8211; A well-rested student is better equipped to meet stressful challenges of new experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Make Some Friends<\/strong> &#8211; Come to orientation and other preliminary meetings to meet classmates and get to know one another.  TCA offers summer camps, providing a wonderful opportunity to make friends and feel more comfortable in a new setting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Meet your Teacher<\/strong> &#8211; Your child&#8217;s teachers are eager to get to know your family and the needs of your child. Reach out and make them aware of any particular concerns you have for your child as they adjust.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. &#8211; I Peter 5:7.  Above all, know God will help you and your child succeed and He cares about each detail!<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Help us help your family &#8211; Do you have other suggestions for adjusting to a new school?
