It&#8217;s a time to rest, reset, spend time with family and take a trip or two. But, what about all of that learning that has been done this school year? How can you help your children stay fresh without feeling overwhelmed with schoolwork?<br><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Just Keep Reading<\/span><\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1. Frequent trips to the library to fill a child&#8217;s book bag will keep their interest in new material.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2. Read out loud to your children.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3. Have your children read out loud to you.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>4. Have them facetime out-of-town relatives to read stories with them.<br><br><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Travel Time<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1. Make plans to stop in and see historical sites and museums.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2. Have your children keep travel journals to tell classmates about when they return to school.<br><br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Maximize Screen Time<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1. Allow children to enjoy screen time using educational games that will keep concepts fresh.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2. Math games: xtramath.org, duolingo, PBSkids.org, coolmath4kids.com, mathgames.com, afterschoolhelp.com<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3. Spelling games: spellingcity.com, spellingtraining.com, turtlediary.com<br><br><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Family Fun Time<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1. Game night &#8211; play board games together as a family to enjoy many opportunities to keep skills sharp and grow together as a family<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2. Scrabble &#8211; teaches vocabulary and spelling<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3. Monopoly &#8211; math help and general business principles<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>4.
